About Camify
Camify is a real-time AI character app for creators. Turn your webcam into a stylized character live, try on new looks in real time, and generate photos with Camify Studio.
What we build
Camify is a desktop application that drives an AI character from your webcam in real time, with low latency, and outputs to a virtual camera you can use in Zoom, OBS, Twitch, YouTube, WhatsApp and other video apps. Your reference image goes straight from your computer to our AI partner, Decart, to generate the live character. It is never uploaded to or stored on our servers. The goal is simple: let anyone become a character on camera without special hardware, costumes, or complicated setup.
Who builds Camify
Camify is built and run by a small independent software team based in South Africa. We are a focused team that ships and supports our own products, iterates quickly on feedback, and keeps the software stable for the creators who rely on it every day.
How we operate
- Privacy first. Reference images are never uploaded to or stored on Camify servers. They go straight from your computer to our AI partner to generate your character.
- Real support. A real person answers support@camifycam.site.
- Clear policies. Our Terms, Privacy, Refund and Acceptable Use policies are published in the footer.
Responsible AI
Camify is made for original, made-up characters and trying on new looks. It is not a tool for becoming someone else. These rules apply to every account:
- Characters, not real people. Use your own face, a made-up character, or a real person's likeness only with their explicit permission.
- No impersonation or harmful deepfakes. Catfishing, pretending to be someone else, passing AI video off as real news or evidence, using a character to get through identity or bank checks, and any sexual content involving minors are banned.
- Be open about AI. You must tell people your video is AI-generated wherever the law or the platform you use requires it, and never remove or hide AI watermarks or labels.
- 16 and over. You must be at least 16 to use Camify.
- A person reads every report. Report misuse on our Report Abuse page or at abuse@camifycam.com. We can warn, suspend or close accounts.
- Secure by design. The permanent key for our AI provider never leaves our servers. The app only gets short-lived access, and only while you have credits.
Live characters are generated by our AI partner, Decart, so using Camify also means following Decart's Acceptable Use Policy. The full rules are in our Acceptable Use Policy.
